About Me

My Job Experience

Human Factors Simulation Engineer - RBSL

Played a key role in the development of a digital twin simulator for an Armoured Fighting Vehicle (AFV) using Unreal Engine 5, interpreting sub-system specifications and system models to accurately replicate system functionality. This includes hosting validation and verification sessions to sign this off with senior stakeholders/customers. This simulator validation process is being presented at the 2025 UK CIEHF conference.

Represented the company at industry events (DVD, DSET), demonstrating simulation capabilities to VVIPs, ministers, and key stakeholders, as well as hosting high-profile site visits. For these events a specific exhibition AFV simulator was developed and built to facilitate stakeholder engagement.

During my placement year at RBSL, I was awarded the DSET Intern of the Year Award and Staffordshire University's "Star Placement Student" Award.

Store Manager - One Stop Stores LTD.

This job involves being solely responsible for the operations within the store including managing and hitting KPI targets on a week-by-week basis and managing all issues that occur on a day to day basis. It also involves handling large amounts of money, being responsible for the banking of the shop, payroll, recruitment, and solving all issues varying from people problems to handling supplier issues. This job has helped me to become an all-rounded worker by building my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Website Producer - Integral Bulk Packaging.

I produced the website for the starting company around my college hours. Which allowed customers to find a company portfolio and product pages to enquire about the services and products provided and also set up the ecommerce shop for customers to purchase items.

Information Technology Technician - NSCG.

During the breaks from my studies, I worked as an IT technician over college breaks installing new computer hardware and software across both Newcastle college and Stafford college.

My Education

BSc (Hons) Computer Games Development - Staffordshire University

1st Class
September 2020 - July 2024

Dissertation Project (92% Overall Grade) - Compared HMD and single flat-screen systems to assess 360 degree situational awareness. This included an interactive artefact created in Unreal Engine 5, allowing both 2D and HMD methods to be assessed; automatically extracting data.

Multiplayer Games Development (95% Overall Grade) - This module involved creating a multiplayer game within Unreal Engine 5. I chose to create a third-person shooter with various game modes. Upon completing the game, I also created a trailer to showcase the project, which can be found on my website.

Prototyping for Technical Designers (90% Overall Grade) - This module had an open brief available, which I chose to take. In doing this, I created a VR game that utilised eye-tracking and head-tracking to detect and engage targets with a remote weapon system, placed on top of a UGV. A showcase video of this project can be found on my website.

Virtual and Augmented Reality (96% Overall Grade) - Understanding the coding techniques needed to adapt games into VR and AR, whilst considering the risks involved in creating games for these platforms. Using C# and Unity to produce a game that looked at a sandbox of functionality, including a wand spell recognition system, firing and reloading weapons, and using hand grenades. This project can be found on my website.
