Mario Bros Recreation
Here is a brief guide and walkthrough of my project where I recreated Mario Bros in C++ using the SDL2 library.

The Aim Of The Game
The aim of the game is to collect as many coins and defeat as many enemies as possible to accumulate your score, whilst also being against the clock. The faster you complete the level, the more additional points you will get upon completion too. However, should these treacherous enemies get to close and hit you, you shall face the consequences so be sure to try and avoid these at all costs. Use the blocks within the level to traverse your way through and avoid as much imminent danger as possible to make your life easier. If you are skilled enough to reach the end of the level, be sure to reach as high on the pole as possible to get every last point available to you at this point.

The Background
The background within my project is one that I created myself but taking various assets online and using editing software to create the background. This then allowed me to create a long enough asset for a scrolling background.
Mario And Luigi
Play as both Mario and Luigi in this difficult level and work together to defeat the enemies presented infront of you and to reach the flag at the end of the level.
Enemies
Taking the concept of enemies from the original Mario Bros, avoid the enemies at all costs if you do not want to die. But if you do dare, use your smarts to use these enemies against eachother!
Blocks
Use these brick blocks and question blocks (which also hold surpises) to traverse your way through the level to collect coins and power ups. However, be careful as if you are in a large size state you will destroy these if you hit the bottom of them
Scores and Timer
Be sure to keep an eye on the time remaining as you want to complete the level before times up! You can also keep track of of how many points and coins you have accumulated.
Collectables
Throughout the level there are collectables for you to collect and use to your advantage.
Collect coins to boost your overall score and to alsoBoost your coin counter!
Collect the mushrooms from Question Blocks to grow into larger version of Mario and Luigi, these will also give you bonus score.
When you are in the large state of Mario and Luigi, the Question Blocks will spawn these fire flowers. Use them for some bonus score!
